I saw your question on Like Merchant Ships. We do not like the taste of powdered milk in cream soups, but I have added it to regular milk in cream soups (usually 1/3 powdered to 2/3 milk) and that has worked well. I've always had soups and cream sauces taste grainy and well that powdered milk taste when I've used only powdered.
