This Valentine’s Day, instead of buying cards for your children to give their friends, relatives, and teachers, why not have some frugal family fun making origami hearts? Wikihow provides illustrated instructions for this enjoyable craft project here.
If you don’t have origami paper on hand, you can use construction paper, newsprint, scraps of gift-wrap, or even cut-up brown paper bags. Decorate your creations with glitter, tinsel, tissue paper cut into pretty shapes, scraps of fabric, bits of yarn, glue tinted with food coloring, stickers, buttons, or simple crayon drawings.
What fun holiday crafts will you be making this Valentine’s Day? Share your artistic genius in the comments!

Beatrice is too young to make too many Valentines this year. But, this is a great idea. Plus, I love oragami.
That's a great tip. My kids love origami.
