I Guess I Really Am Frugal...

This past Sunday, my grandfather mentioned that there’s a good sale on boneless, skinless chicken thighs at Redner’s this week, and that he and my grandmother planned to buy some. I told him I had considered getting a pack myself, but there are other items I need more, and I don’t want to go over my grocery budget. He agreed that sticking to my budget is the best course of action, and we moved on to talking about other things.

Then, this morning, my grandfather called to wish me a “Happy Valentine’s Day.” He said, “Because it’s been icy, I haven’t been to the store to get you chocolates for Valentine’s Day, yet. I’m going tomorrow. But I was thinking, you don’t really want or need a box of chocolates. So how about I get you the boneless, skinless chicken thighs from Redner’s, instead?”

This just goes to show...my Pop-pop totally gets me. :)
