Valentine's Day "Date on a Dime" Ideas

Even if you aren’t going to exchange Valentine’s Day gifts with your significant other tomorrow, why not enjoy a frugal date night together? There are lots of fun, free things you can do to have a relaxing, romantic evening. Why not…

  • prepare dinner together, then eat by candlelight?

  • turn down the lights, play some romantic music, and slow dance the night away?

  • cozy up on the couch and watch your favorite movie?

  • take turns reading to one another from a book you both enjoy?

  • play a board game while listening to music you love and eating some of your favorite snacks?

  • spend some quiet time looking at your old photo albums together?

  • have a picnic on the living room floor?

  • take turns listing all the things you love about one another?

How do you and your significant other celebrate Valentine’s Day? Share your stories in the comments!

Although I had already posted my blog for today, I found your post and wanted to add you to my list of links of great V-day ideas. Thanks!

My Valentine and I are planning to cook a nice dinner at home. Something out of the ordinary from our usual dinners in and just enjoy each others company.

Money aside, personally I had going out anywhere on Valentine's Day - its always so crowded and never really enjoyable.

Hope you have a wonderful V-day as well!

These are all good ideas. My fiance and I decided to stay in and cook a new recipe we found online. I will definately light some candles. Then we have plans to watch a romantic comedy curled up on the couch. We both agreed that we didn't want to break our budget to buy each other anything for this Valentine's Day because our other goals are too important to us right now. I still bought her some chocolates though but I don't think that will bust my budget!
