Before you go out and spend a ton of money on your mom this Mothers' Day, remember this: she doesn't want you to break your budget for her sake. Really. No mother wants to see her child place him or herself in financial jeopardy. Your mom would much rather receive a thoughtful, inexpensive present than something flashy you can't afford. Here are some frugal Mother's Day gift suggestions your mom will be sure to love. I, personally, will be making my mom chocolate chip cookies, per her request. (I have to admit, I'm not crafty. But I can bake.) How about you?
- Homemade cookies, candies, or other sweet treats.
- A goody bag filled with some of your best CVS deals.
- A family photo in a frame the kids or grandkids decorated.
- A fashionable, handmade sweater purse.
- A beautiful scented sachet.
- A paperback book by her favorite author.
- Handmade jewelry.
- A pretty, decorative throw pillow.
- A beautiful potted plant (if she's a gardener; otherwise, it's best to skip this one!).

These are some great tips. I especially like the tip about using all of this great CVS stuff we get (although mine always goes to our church's pantry ministry). I did a series of posts recently. Maybe your readers could get some ideas from there as well!
